Getting a WindTamer turbine working for you is a simple process:
- Analyze site
A member of the WindTamer site evaluation team will visit your site, analyze the wind, and recommend a location for installation. - Select model
Based on your annual electric usage and average wind speed, and other factors WindTamer will help you select the model that is right for you. - Secure permits
WindTamer will work with you to help secure a building permit. This usually takes just a few days.

WindTamer will provide you the information needed to obtain federal, state, local and utility incentives. - Install turbine
- Concrete base: A concrete base will be poured. It will cure for seven days.
- Installation and hookup: This one-day process will get you up and running.
- Integrate with grid and/or battery storage
You will need to contact your electric company to arrange for net metering (available cost free, as mandated by law, in 34 states). A battery storage unit may also be advantageous; WindTamer will assist you in weighing the costs and benefits.
