We are proud to be part of the solution for increasing energy independence in Genesee County. Solarize is an initiative that has been gaining interest across the country by progressive communities that want to bring solar power and all of its benefits to its constituents in a cost effective and easy way. Through bulk purchasing and a streamlined installation process, the cost of a solar system purchased by a resident or business in the County is greatly reduced. Educational workshops, partnering with local contractors, and involvement of area educational institutions, are all components of the program.
In addition, you may qualify for Federal and New York State tax incentives for your installed solar system. We not only have the NYSERDA certified installers that are required for the purchaser to receive NYSERDA rebates and tax incentives, we will provide you with the information necessary to apply for available tax incentives.
