WindTamer announces loan agreement

(Rochester, NY – April 27, 2010) – WindTamer Corporation (“WindTamer” or “The Company”) (OTC:BB:WNDT-News) announced today that it has entered into a loan agreement (the “Loan Agreement”) with First Niagara Bank, N.A. for a $1 million secured revolving line of credit (the “Line of Credit”).

The Line of Credit is available until May 1, 2011 with variable rate of interest at the Prime Rate subject to a floor of 3.25%. The Company may borrow and repay any principal amounts drawn on the Line of Credit during this period. (more…)

WindTamer Corporation names William A. Schmitz chief executive officer

(Rochester, NY – April 15, 2010) – WindTamer Corporation (“WindTamer” or “The Company”) (OTC:BB:WNDT-News) announced today that William A. Schmitz has been named Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Company founder Gerald E. Brock. Mr. Schmitz previously served as President of WindTamer Corporation. Mr. Brock will remain both Chairman of the Board and Vice President of Research & Development, where he will focus his efforts on developing new applications of the patented WindTamer turbine technology he invented in such areas as automotive and hydro.

Rochester, NY, April 12, 2010 – WindTamer Corporation (“Wind Tamer” or “The Company”)(OTC:BB: WNDT-News) announced today the sale of a model 96GT-3500 WindTamer wind turbine to Marywood University, a private, coeducational, Catholic University with enrollment of 3,400 full- and part-time students located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The sale is WindTamer’s first in Pennsylvania and its first to a university. The turbine will be a free-standing unit placed near the University’s athletic center, and will be clearly visible along the Interstate 81 corridor. (more…)

WindTamer announces initial sale of mobile trailer-mounted Turbine to U.S. Army

Independent Testing proves WT Turbines are virtually silent

Rochester, NY, April 7, 2010 – WindTamer Corporation (“WindTamer”) (OTC:BB:WNDT-News) announced today the sale of a mobile trailer-mounted 1.0kW WindTamer turbine and energy storage unit to the U.S. Army. The turbine will be utilized as a demonstration unit for the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command (“RDECOM”) as a means of charging batteries for communications equipment. RDECOM is the Army’s largest technology developer and its primary source for research, development and engineering capabilities. The WindTamer unit is expected to initially reside at RDECOM’s Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.

Independent Testing proves WT Turbines are virtually silent

An independent sound study report conducted by Marathon Engineering recently concluded that WindTamer wind turbines are in fact virtually silent. While the turbines are suitable for corporate installations, they are also useful for residential applications. The study focused on the “incremental sound level associated with the operation of the WindTamer wind turbine and assess[ed] the impact on neighbors”.
